Description
The Downpipe with Cat (SS) for the Mercedes-AMG A 45 / A 45 S (W177) is developed and tested alongside the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system. It serves as the ideal companion for drivers looking to take their performance and sound experience to the next level. This downpipe features a high-flow 200 CPSI sport catalytic converter and removes the OPF, resulting in a lighter setup with a weight reduction of 2.8 kg.
Primarily designed for track use, the system delivers an intense, race-inspired sound that evolves through the rev range—from a deep and powerful tone at low RPMs to a sharp, high-frequency crackle during gear shifts and over-runs. It offers full acoustic engagement without compromising comfort in Comfort mode.
Note: ECU remapping is mandatory when installing this product to avoid “check engine” light warnings. This downpipe fits 2021 models with an Otto/gasoline particulate filter and is not street-legal.
